Another one of our goals at BLKBRY is to support the Black ecosystem by buying items from Black-owned businesses (especially small and local) that make products centering us. We also provide these items to Black folks and families at no cost. We buy BLACK intentionally because it is a crucial means of closing the racial wealth gap, contributing to the cultivation of community economic growth, and encouraging financial equity.
as a kid, we remembered that the pantry was where the goodies were stored, and that's what we've stocked for community.
Our Community Pantry goes beyond the typical baby boutique! We strive to carry inclusive items for Black folks and families like menstrual hygiene products, pregnancy items, lactation supplies, clothes, infant and toddler items, and items for partners. We are one of the very few places to carry items for toddlers because why have programming that follows along the first 1,000 days postpartum and we do not support during the waddler and toddler milestones as well?!
so, how do you get pantry items?!
Each of our in-person events, gatherings, and workshops for families will have a community pantry pop-up. We love that y'all want to be in community with us and learn with us, but we also understand that folks can be spread thin when they have meet up multiple times to get their needs met. So, when we show up in community, we'll also make sure that we don't have you driving back and forth for what you need.
