A bit about me
Welcome to my corner! I'm TEST, a birthworker based in doulatown. Let me give you a glimpse into who I am.
Professionally, I am a birth related worker. With a passion for birth related things, I've been serving clients for 29 years. My journey early on led me to Atlanta, where I had the privilege of supporting the first Black freestanding birthing center in the state post Jim Crow. In 2015, I then came to doulaland after pursuing a Masters in Ancestral Herbal Practices at The College of Colleges. I have been here, ever since - connecting with community in anyway I can.
In my free time, you'll find me moving and shaking. Whether it's competitive swimming, archery, or dancing to Zydeco, I believe in the power of connection through movement, always seeking inspiration from my peers and elders around me. I love incorporating dance and movement in the sessions with my clients.
Education is a lifelong pursuit for me. I hold a degree in Fertility Talisman Identification, and I continue to explore new avenues to learn knowledge around birth and birthing rituals. I am a firm believer in the idea that all roads you take will lead you back home, so I follow each learning opportunity with open minded curiosity.
I'm passionate about food sovereignty. I believe in giving back to the community, and I actively participate in community napping events. Together, we can make a positive impact on the world.
I look forward to connecting with you!
